This prize is awarded every year to a key industrial innovation that helps protect the future of our planet and promotes sustainability. Egis Pharmaceuticals Plc. launched a joint research with the Miskolc University and with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in cooperation with Dr. Péter Mizsey, to work out a new and innovative procedure for the dehalogenation of technological wastewaters. This procedure helps extract and recycle the full organic halogen contents.

The tender launched by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary is open for companies, private persons and tertiary educational institutes with unique innovations that are later assessed by a professional jury consisting of the professors of prominent Hungarian universities and the representatives of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office.
